It was the summer of 1991. I had just turned twenty-two, and my friend Lynn asked me to go to a party with her, because she wanted me to meet the guy she had a crush on, "Zeppelin". He was her age, nineteen, and he had a two year-old daughter. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that a week after I met him, we would be living together. Our connection was instantaneous and undeniable. Yeah, Lynn and I are no longer friends. :/

Six months after we met, I became pregnant with Skyler. Since Joe and I had only known each other for such a short amount of time, I don't think that anyone we knew really believed that we would still be together over twenty years later. They didn't know that the power of our love is a force of nature, and it cannot be tamed. It hasn't always been easy, and we've had a few obstacles to overcome, but our marriage works because we work on it. Til death do us part.

Not that I don't occasionally get the urge to kill him to get out of the contract. Just kidding! I mean, really, how could I live without him? I have been with Joe for half of my life, and he has always been the best husband, the best partner, the best friend I could ever ask for. In the entire time we have been married, he has never given me one single reason to question his love.

So, Lynn, wherever you are, thanks for insisting that I HAD to meet Zeppelin. You were right, he is pretty awesome.
