Hey Joe

My husband is such a good sport. Anytime day or night, I will start thinking about Jiu-Jitsu and I will randomly ask to practice things on him. I think he dreads the words "Hey, can I try something?", but he's always willing to help. The latest incident involved me contemplating some of the recent advice I've gotten on different ways to finish a rear naked choke, and asking Joe to be my guinea pig to test them out. It was like a twisted eye doctor appointment...

"Okay, now is this worse, or this? Number one, or number two?"

I guess I should start easing up on him a little bit, because Sunday when I asked him if he wanted to go to the dojo early and roll he said "Now, are we actually going to roll, or am I supposed to just lay there while you figure out the most effective ways to hurt me?" Oh no, I think he's starting to figure out that my Jiu-Jitsu training is really just part of an elaborate ruse to torture him!

Seriously...thank you, Joe. I am very lucky to have a husband who not only puts up with my Jiu-Jitsu addiction, but is incredibly supportive of it, and even helps me to feed it when I'm at home. Although he doesn't technically train Jiu-Jitsu, it's really nice to be able to share and practice with him. I am such a spoiled Jiu-Jitsuka, and wife. Now if he would just do something about that home mat I've been wanting! ;)
